FLASH! Wilmington America's Best Riverfront!

Check it out!  Wilmington has the nation’s best riverfront!  In a recent USA Today report, Wilmington home page beat out all other riverfront communities to win the Best American Riverfronts designation.  

In order, the locations are:

  1. Wilmington, N.C.
  2. Spokane, Wash.
  3. Davenport, Iowa
  4. Dubuque, Iowa
  5. Pittsburgh
  6. Louisville, Ky.
  7. Chattanooga, Tenn.
  8. Savannah, Ga.

Cooler weather is here so get out on the water and enjoy the scenery and history of the Cape Fear region!  Places to visit include the historic Downtown district (2 miles north), the Brunswick River for excellent fishing (1 mile), Keg or Campbell Islands for exploring (2 miles south), Town Creek for a view of the original NC settlement (2 miles south), Bald Head sex Island at the mouth of the River (15 miles), historic Southport (13 miles), and countless other interesting destinations.   Talk to Skip or Mike for other ideas!

Meet Jack!

Be sure to meet our new Dockmaster, Jack Marshall.  Jack, 27, is a native Kentuckian who comes to xterracyprus.com Wilmington in order to attend the Marine Trades program at Cape Fear Community College.

During times when he’s not attending college, Jack works at WMC doing a variety of marina tasks including fueling, maintenance, and customer service.  Jack has worked in the past for the Boy Scouts of America doing various marine-oriented programs.
